Protocobitis anteroventris Lan, 2013

  • Holotype: CLJH 12110306.
  • Paratypes (3): CLJH 2012020101, 12110307-08.

Type locality: Cave in Langping Town, Tianlin County, Guangxi, China, 24.6°N, 106.3°E [1], 830 m a.s.l.

Etymology: The specific name anteroventris is a combination from the Latin anterior (= before, former), and venter (= belly), and was given because of the position of the pelvic-fin origin anterior to the dorsal-fin origin.
