Holotype: ZMUH, ♀, lost during World War II. [sensu Uzzell (1970: 9)]

Neotype: CBF 3437, adult ♂. [designated by Goicoechea et al. (2013: 9)]

Type locality: “Sorata, Bolivia”, redesigned by neotype designation to “Millipaya, 12 km S of Sorata (15°51′30.2″S/68°37′37.6″W), Province Larecaja, Department of La Paz, Bolivia, 3743 m”, by Goicoechea et al. (2013: 9).
