Holotype: ZISP 4899, ♂, from Plectrophenax nivalis (Linnaeus, 1758) (Calcariidae); 19 August 1981, coll. S.V. Mironov.
Type locality: Russia, Leningrad Province, Lodeynopolsky District, Gumbaritsy, N 60°40′26″, E 32°56′35″.
Etymology: The specific epithet is directly taken from the generic name of the type host.
