- Type locality: MADAGASCAR: Anivorano, 16°49’ S, 48°10’ E.
- Holotype: MNHN EY2477, ♀, XII 1929.
- Etymology: Euphonic reference to the small size of this species: “kely” is the Malagasy word for “little”.
