Platyberyx rhyton Stevenson & Kenaley, 2013

  • Holotype (unique): NSMT-P 59274.

Type locality: NW Pacific, off Honshu, 39°2'N, 143°30'E [1], 650–677 m depth.

Etymology: From the ancient Greek word rhyton, for a widemouth container for fluids, referring to the relatively large mouth of this species.
