- Holotype: SAMA M8406, adult ♂, skin, skull and body (torso) in alcohol, collected by P. Aitken, A. Kowanko, J. Forrest and J. Howard on 29 June 1969.
- Type locality: “Nº 3 Bore, Pastoral Property of Anna Creek, South Australia (lat. 28°18′S., long. 136°29′40″E.)”.
