- Holotype: MLP-R 5289, adult ♂, collected by J.A. Scolaro and O.F. Tappari on 24 March 2006.
- Type locality: “in open rocky outcrops near Chasicó (40º23'02" S; 69º00'33" W; 1150 m asl), south of El Cuy Plateau, Rio Negro Province, Argentina”.
