Type locality: Mexico, San Luis Potosí, El Salto falls, 22º35'0,9.9."N, 99º22'55.4"W.

Holotype: FSCA. male. 14.VI.1963. R.E. Woodruff.

Etymology

The specific epithet is formed with an anagram of the name of the type locality, El Salto, San Luis Potosí.
