Type locality: Venezuela, Lara, Parque Nacional Dinira, Quebrada Las Pinetas, 09º46'19"N, 70º01'45"W, 1889 m.
Holotype: UMSP. male. 22.VI.2001. Holzenthal, Blahnik, Paprocki & Cressa.
Etymology: named for its collector, Dr. Claudia Cressa.
