- Holotype: ZMMU.
- Type locality: Kazakhstan, Almaty Area, Aksu District, ca. 2.5 km south-east of Matai, left bank of Aksu River, 45°53´N 78°45´E, 29.06.2001 (A.V. Gromov).
- Etymology: The name is a patronym in honourof the collector of the holotype, the author's friend and colleague Alexander V. Gromov (Kazakhstan) who has made important contributions to studies of Middle Asian spiders.
