Type locality: Iran: Khozestan prov.: Zard River close to Rudzard village at road from Ramhormoz to Baghmalek, a tributary of Jarahi, 31°22'34" N 49°43'11" E.

Etymology: Refers to the original inhabitants of Susa, the Susian people. Susa was an ancient city (back to 4200 BC) of the Elamite, Persian and Parthian empires of Iran. It is located in the lower Zagros Mountains in Khuzestan Province where the type material was collected.
