Type locality: SW Flores, 08°48.573’S, 119°50.200’E [1], Lesser Sunda Islands, Indonesia, 15-20 m depth.
Etymology: The species is named after Renny K. Hadiaty, Curator of Fishes at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences’ Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense in Cibinong, for her valuable contributions to our knowledge of Indonesian freshwater and marine fishes and in recognition of many years of productive ichthyological collaborations with the authors.
