- Types: The holotype of Parabathymyrus macrophthalmus was destroyed in World War II. Kamohara (1961) designated a
neotype (BSKU 9983), but this was not done in a revisionary work and is not valid.
Type locality: Mimase, Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
