  • Type locality: PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Irian Jaya: Jayawijaya, Eipomek 140°01′E, ~4°25′S, 1800–2100 m.
  • Holotype: SMNS, ♂, 19.VIII.1992, leg. A. RIEDEL.
  • Etymology: The lamentable damaged condition of the uncifer suggested the biblical name, Lazarus.
