Paederus (Megalopaederus) excisissimus Assing, 2015: 75

  • Type locality: TAIWAN: Pingtung Hsien, Pietawushan [sic] trail at 2000 m.
  • Holotype: Volker Assing private collection, ♂, 23.V.1991, A. Smetana.
  • Etymology: The specific epithet is the superlative of the Latin adjective excisus (excised) and alludes to the conspicuously deep posterior excision of the male sternite VIII.
