Type locality: Ecuador, 80 km E Guayaquil, Bucay, western foothills of Andes, 700m, premontane tropical forest and orchards.
Holotype: ZMUC. male ♂. 06–19.I.2001. legit Puplesis and Hill, genitalia slide no. AD0340.
Species transferred from VPU/LUES to ZMUC (see Stonis et al., 2019: 229)
