- Type locality: SOUTH AFRICA, KwaZulu-Natal, Royal Natal NR, Gudu Forest, 28°40.90’S, 28°55.78’E, 1680–1730 m, forest litter, sifting.
- Holotype: DNMNH, 17–18.xi. 2006, J. Janák leg.
- Etymology: Named after the Drakensberg Mountains, where the type series was collected (Lat. montiumdraconis (from mons (genitive plural montium), a mountain, and draco (genitive singular draconis), a dragon: being from the dragon mountains).
