- Type locality: South Africa, Eastern Cape Province, Fort Fordyce NR, 32°40'S, 26°29'E.
- Holotype: DNMNH, ♂, 1.xii.2009, J. Janák lgt.
- Etymology: This species is named after the form of its internal structures of the aedeagus (bi = two and curvatus = curved).
