- Holotype: MVZ 203746, adult ♀, collected by A. Collazo and D.A. Good on 25 May 1986.
- Type locality: “Rio Quirí (elevation ca. 1300 m), 0.3 km northeast of the junction of the Tapantí Road and the Tausito Road, near Tapantí, Prov. Cartago, Costa Rica”.
