- Holotype: BMNH 50.1736, adult ♀, skin and skull.
- Type locality: “High northern slopes of Mt. Wilhelm, [ca. 05°47'S, 145°01'E], Bismarck Range, [Chimbu Province], North-East New Guinea [=Papua New Guinea], 9000-10,000 feet [=52727–3030 m].”
