• Holotype: SAF 08810 (field number MT009), adult ♂, skin with removed skull, collected by Yang Liu on 14 May 2008.
• Type locality: “Mêdog (Motuo) county, Xizang (Tibet); 29.73815°N, 95.67496°E; 3,410 m a.s.l.”.
