Nemateleotris exquisita Randall & Connell, 2013

  • Holotype: BPBM 16173.
  • Paratypes: USNM 405534; BPBM 21528, 22544, 34640 (2); CAS 234071; SAIAB 185925, 186384 (3).

Type locality: Mauritius, west coast off Wolmar, rubble and sand bottom near base of vertical drop-off, 56 m depth.

Etymology: The specific name exquisita is referring to both, form and color.
