Type locality: Madagascar.

Lectotype: MCZ. female ♀. (lectotype Salticus gracilis Peckham & Peckham, 1892 designated by Wanless, 1978: 119)

• Myrmarachne peckhami Roewer, 1951: 450 (original combination) (replacement name for Salticus gracilis (Peckham & Peckham).
