- Holotype: FMNH 191568, adult ♀, body in alcohol with skull removed, collected by L. Mazibuko and N. Gawami on 30 June 2004.
- Type locality: “200 m north of the Chilinda Guest House within Nyika National Park, Malawi (10°34'37"S, 33°48'30"E, 2285 m)”.
