- Holotype: NHR 3131A, ♀, collected by K. von Sneidern in 1937.
- Type locality: “Colombia, Cauca, El Tambo. A village situated 20 km west of Popayan on the eastern slopes of the western Cordilleras at an altitude of 1745 m and on the watershed between the Rio Cauca and the Rio Patia”.
