Holotype: BMNH 50.1130, adult ♂, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Boneno, Mt. Mura (30 miles [=48 km] NW Mt. Simpson) Main Range, eastern Papua, SE. New Guinea [=Papua New Guinea], 4,000-5,000 ft [=1220-1525 m].”
