Microglanis pleriqueater Mattos et al., 2013

  • Holotype: UFRJ 8183.
  • Paratypes: UFRJ 4476 (3), 7890 (2), 0759 (1), 3356 (6), 3404 (4), 8182 (1).

Type locality: Brazil, Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Águas Claras river, tributary of São João river, 29 km northwest from Silva Jardim municipality, 22°31'38.92"S, 42°32'37.82"W [1], altitude 200 m.

Etymology: The specific name is a combination from the Latin plerique, meaning mostly, and from the Latin ater, meaning black. It refers to the coloration of the species.
