- Holotype: FMNH 136140, adult ♀, collected by Bernard Greenberg, R.F. Inger, and F.W. King on 11 September 1962.
- Type locality: “Nanga Tekalit, Kapit District, Third Division, Sarawak ... on the bank of the Mengiong River”, Malaysia (Borneo).
