- Holotype: WAM: 26/465, 1 ♀.
- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: WA, Norseman, 32°12′S 121°46′E, “senex,” 1926.
- Etymology: Named after Victor Hugo’s famous literary character, Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame. The holotype spider resembles Quasimodo in having a “wart” and a “hump”.
