Holotype: BMNH 47.1175, adult ♂, skin and skull.

Type locality: “Baiyanka, Purari-Ramu Divide, South-East Bismarck Range, North-East New Guinea [=Papua New Guinea]. Altitude 8000ft [=2440 m].”
