- Type locality: “beside a 1 m wide rocky stream (stream bed 5–6 m wide) in heavily disturbed evergreen forest, Sa Pa District, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam (22.38205°N, 103.78745ºE, 1708 m asl)”.
