  • Holotype: USNM 443819, adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by Norman E. Peterson, F.P. Brown, Jr., and J.O. Matson on 28 June 1968.
  • Type locality: “La Isla, 15 m, near Cojoro, 37 km NNE Paraguaipoa, Dpto. Guajira, Colombia”.
