Manerebia leaena gonzalezi Pyrcz & Viloria, 2007

Type locality: Venezuela, Táchira, Parque Nacional El Tamá, selva nublada arriba de Betania, 2400-2480 m.

Holotype: MALUZ. male. 24.VIII.1996. leg. A. Viloria.

Etymology

We dedicated this new subspecies to Luis Alfonso González, a forest guard of the Venezuelan Parque Nacional El Tamá, one of the few in the area who knows every detail of its geography and nature, in gratitude for his cooperation and hospitality.
