Type locality: Western Pacific Ocean, Micronesia, Caroline Islands, Senyavin (Pohnpel) Islands, southwest end of Ahnd (Ant) Atoll, depth 90-100 meters.
Etymology: Named seaver, as a noun in apposition, for the Seaver family in recognition of support from the Seaver Institute for marine research.
