- Holotype: BPBM 15767 (field tag FK 5115), adult ♂, collected by F. Kraus on 14 April 2002.
- Type locality: "Upaelisafupi Stream, 10° 29.825´ S, 150° 13.978´ E, 700 m elevation, Cloudy Mountains, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea . This locality is approximately 33 km straight-line distance SW of Alotau".
- Paratypes: (n = 22), BPBM 15759–66, 15768–70, PNGNM 23857–62, same data as holotype, except collected by F. Kraus, I. Bigilale, and native collectors, 9–22 April 2002.
