• Holotype: SAM-H4915 (fragment of holotype BMNH 1997.5.12.63), collected by M.J. Gibbons, Z. Toeffie and G. Isaacs on 15 June 1996.
• Type locality: “Oudekraal, Cape Town (33°60’S, 18°22’E), depth 12 m”.
