Lethrinops microdon Eccles & Lewis, 1977

Holotype: BMNH 1977.1.11.413. [Paratypes: BMNH 1977.1.11.414-8 (5); MFRU (5, 3 lots); MRAC 77-02-P-5-7 (3); QVMS 3758-59 (2, 1); SAIAB (formerly RUSI) 917-918 (2, 1); USNM 216600-01 (1, 2)].

Type locality: Off Monkey Bay, Lake Malawi [Lake Nyasa], southeastern Africa, 14°03'S, 34°56'E, depth 30 fathoms.
