Type locality: “in the Rio Preto during the fauna rescue of the Queimados Hydroelectric Plant, between Municipalities of Luziânia (16º15’S, 46º57’W), State of Goiás, and Unaí (16º21’S, 46º54’W), State of Minas Gerais, Brazil”.
