- Holotype: BMNH 1940.3.11.84, juvenile ♂, collected by Ivan T. Sanderson in 1937.
- Type locality: “from an epiphyte growing at the top of a tree (about 9 m above the ground) on Mount Aripo, Northern Range, Trinidad, altitude about 914 m”.
