- Holotype: AM R 176524, adult ♂, collected by Jodi J.L. Rowley, Huy Duc Hoang, Duong Thi Thuy Le, and Vinh Quang Dau on 2 April 2010.
- Type locality: “rocky stream with small cascades in montane evergreen forest in Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve, Kon Tum Province, Vietnam (15.0628° N, 107.8587° E, 1716 m)”.
