- Holotype: MBML 2521, adult ♂, collected by Antonio de Pádua Almeida on 28 August 2002.
- Type locality: “Povoação (19°33′ S, 39°46′ W), at sea level, approximately 30 km from the town of Linhares . . . . Povoação, state of Espírito Santo, Brazil”.
