  • Type locality: CHINA: S-Gansu, W-Qinling Shan, 47 km N Chengxian, 34°08’16’’N, 105°46’42’’E, 1760 m, N-slope.
  • Holotype: Volker Assing private collection, ♂, 28.VII.2012, M. Schülke.
  • Etymology: The specific epithet (Latin, adjective: sickle-shaped) refers to the shape of the ventral process of the aedeagus, which somewhat resembles a sickle.
