- Type locality: BORNEO: Sabah, Danum Valley, Borneo Rainforest Lodge, Flight interception trap.
- Holotype: Guillaume de Rougemont private collection, ♂?, 14-16.II.2007, G. de Rougemont leg.
- Etymology: The species is named "marvelous" in reference to its mandibular horns.
