Name edit

Isthmoheros Říčan & Novák, 2016

Etymology: Genus name composed from isthmos, meaning narrow passage or neck of land, in combination with the old cichlid genus name Heros (meaning hero). Gender: masculine. The name is to be understood as the isthmian hero, as it is the only eastern Isthmian genus that has its sister-genus on the opposite side of the Isthmus in western Panamá-Costa Rica.
