Hypsibarbus wetmorei (Smith, 1931)

Type locality: Chao Phraya River, Chai Nat Province, Thailand.

Etymology: Species is named in appreciation after Alexander Wetmore, assistant secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, in charge of the United States National Museum.
