Name

Boana freicanecae (Carnaval & Peixoto, 2004)

• Holotype: ZUFRJ 8827, adult ♂, collected by J. Vicente Filho and A. Carnaval on 23 August 2001.
• Type locality: “Serra do Quengo (8°43′S, 35°50′W, approximately 700 m), Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Frei Caneca, Municipality of Jaqueira, State of Pernambuco, Brazil”.
• Paratypes (n=3): ZUFRJ 8828, adult ♂, collected at the same site by J. Vicente Filho and A. Carnaval on 25 August 2001; ZUFRJ 7941, adult ♂, and ZUFRJ 7942, adult ♂, collected at the same site by J. Vicente Filho and A. Carnaval on 7 June 1999.
