Type locality: China, Yunnan prov., Maguan. 23.1ºN, 104.2ºE, 1450 m. alt.

Holotype: Unknown. female. 30-VII-2005. coll. Wei-Ann Deng.

Etymology

The new species name is derived from the Latin brev and pennis, meaning wings comparatively short narrowed, only reaching the middle of hind femora.
