Hologymnosus rhodonotus Randall & Yamakawa, 1988

Holotype: BPBM 30921. [Paratypes: BPBM 23489 (1), 31973 (1); NSMT-P 44228 (1); SU 25968 (1); USNM 153278 (1)].

Type locality: Naha fish market, Okinawa Island, Ryukyu Islands, Japan.
