- Holotype: ESUW, ♀, 10.xi.1994; Project ALAS (FVK34).
- Type locality: COSTA RICA: Heredia Prov.; La Selva Biological Station; 10°26'N, 84°01'W. 100m; Canopy fogging 34.
- Etymology: named after P. Cameron, who described many tropical Braconidae in the late 1880s and early 1900s.
