- Lectotype: BMNH 1946.1.13.43, adult ♂, collected by S.E. Peal. [designated by Das, Gower & Deepak (2020: 309)]
- Type locality: “Sibsagar district of Assam”, India.
- Paralectotype: ZSIK 4034, adult ♂, collection data as for lectotype.
- Etymology: Named after Samuel Edward Peal (1834–1897), the collector.
